Erected by Richard Whitty of Island in memory of his father Peter Whitty who departed this life January 16th 1856 aged 75 years.
Also his mother Sarah Whitty who departed this life 11th December 1865 aged 73 years.
Also the above Richard Whitty died 15th June 1880 aged 60 years and his brother James died 8th Oct. 1899 aged 75 years and his nephew Peter Whitty died 21st March 1902 aged 30 years.
