Erected by Rosanna Toole of Croughan in memory of her husband Andrew Toole who depd. this life the 15th of Oct. 1798 aged 47 yrs.
Also her son James Toole depd. this life on the above date aged 25 yrs. and her son Laurence died on ye -- May 1809 aged 21 yrs.

Broken headstone face down. Local legend says that Andrew Toole and his son, James were killed in reprisals after 1798 by the military who searching for James Toole. His father intervened hence his death too.
