INSCRIPTION:
To the memory of John Godkin of Ballinacarrig and Johnstown Co.Wicklow who died 9th January 1823 aged 48 years.
His six children Maria, Sarah,Elizabeth,John,Iris, Sherwood and Dorothea.
This tomb is erected by Elizabeth Godkin in memory of her beloved husband and as a burial place for herself when it shall please the lord to take her.
The above named Elizabeth Godkin died Oct. 14 1865 aged 87 yrs.
The lord hath given and the lord hath taken away blessed be the name of the lord.
